Ahmedgarh SDM Vikramjeet Singh Panthey today launched a coordinate movement to boost morale of members of the Sanitation Department.
Besides, advising authorities concerned to address grievances of sweepers and scavengers, the SDM motivated them.
Members of the department led by Inspector Hardeep Singh vowed to continue to improve cleanliness and provide ideal public utility services, including clean toilets and better solid waste management.
Taking cognisance of the reports related to the declining level of cleanliness, Panthey asked officials in the civic body to ensure that clean and functional toilets were available for residents.
“Though a lot more needs to be done, the efforts of the sanitation team should be recognised. I have advised officials concerned to make maximum use of equipment and manpower to ensure that residents live a dignified life,” said Panthey.
Special teams have been constituted to undertake intensive cleaning work in sensitive areas, he said.
