Hosts GNPS students emerge overall champs

Ludhiana, November 15

Athletes from hosts Guru Nanak Public Schools (GNPS), Sarabha Nagar continued their dominance, adding nine more gold medals to the kitty in addition to securing other positions to emerge overall champions in the Ludhiana Sahodaya Schools Complex Athletics Meet that concluded here today.

Around 400 players (boys and girls U-14, 17 and 19) drawn from 24 schools from all over the city competed in various track and field events during this two-day meet.

Harnoor Singh and Gurleen Kaur, both students of Gujranwala Guru Nanak Public School were adjudged the best athletes in the boy’s and girls’ sections, respectively in the U-14 group while Supreet Singh and Armandeep Kaur, both from the GNPS were declared the best athletes in the U-17 category.

Similarly, in the U-19 category, Gurkomal Singh of the GNPS and Kashvi Chhabra of Bal Bharti Public School were named the best athletes in the boys’ and girls’ sections, respectively.

Principal, Mona Singh was the chief guest at the prize distribution function.
