Police DAV Public School, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, organised a Havan to seek blessings of the Almighty. Acharya Roshan Lal Arya performed the rituals. School Principal Dr Anu Verma lit the Havan kund. Arya enlightened teachers about their role as a guru in students’ life. He said teachers were the nation builders who light the life of students. Dr Verma explained the importance of Havan and its implications in human life. She said, “God is existent, blissful and merciful.” She added that Havan was important for channelising energy in a positive manner.

Interactive session with parents

An interactive orientation programme was organised at GMT International Public School, Kakowal road, Ludhiana. School Principal Amarjit Dhaliwal addressed parents on the occasion. They were motivated to comprehend psychological requirements of students. Parents’ role in overcoming students’ stress was discussed in detail. Motivational videos were shown for changing perspective of parents.

Drishti holds annual function

DRISHTI celebrated its annual function titled “Kahi-Unkahi”. Ludhiana Commissioner of Police Sukhchain Singh Gill and Bipin Gupta, managing director, Venus Industrial Corporation, were the chief guest on the occasion. The event commenced with lighting of the traditional lamp by director Ahlawat, manager Preeti Jain and school Principal Gauri Chhabra.

The Principal read the annual report and brought forth the achievements of students. She assured parents that she would leave no stone unturned to take the school to greater heights.
