Farewell party held at KIMT
LUDHIANA: Khalsa Institute of Management and Technology for Women (KIMT), Civil Lines, bid adieu to its postgraduate and undergraduate students. The fun-filled party comprised various cultural events. The juniors gave various titles and gifts to their seniors. The students of outgoing batch gave a special vote of thanks to the director and teachers of KIMT for their valuable guidance. A fashion show comprising three rounds was also organised. The first round was the introduction round, second was talent and the third round was question-answer round. Director of KIMT, Dr Hapreet Kaur, wished the students luck and a bright future.
Farewell fiesta at GNIMT
Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology (GNIMT), Gujarkhan Campus, Model Town, organised ‘Alvida’, a farewell party for the outgoing undergraduate and postgraduate students. The function started with a Bollywood melody, followed by giving away of the mementos to the outgoing students. Various cultural performances were also organised. The party concluded with a bhangra performance. The students were also honoured with special titles. Principal Sandhya Mehta congratulated the students and asked them to act as the ambassadors of the institute. She motivated them to work hard and do well in their careers.
Ramgarhia Girls College
Ramgarhia Girls College bid adieu to the students of the department of computer science and applications, arts, and commerce today. An array of cultural items was presented by the students. Students of BCom performed bhangra, while the students of BA made the audience tap their feet on Hindi medleys. The highlight of the event was Ms Farewell contest. Students of the final year donned in stunning attires walked the ramp. Tanishq Kaur Anand from BA was crowned Miss Farewell. Varsha Pareek and Junmaya were adjudged the first and second runners-up, respectively. From BCom, Rupinder Kaur was chosen Miss Farewell. Principal Dr Inderjit Kaur congratulated the students and wished them success for new opportunities.
Annual prize distribution function
As part of the centenary celebrations, SCD Government College organised its annual prize distribution function in the Sahir Auditorium. The function was presided over by SK Sandhu, Additional Chief Secretary, Higher Education and Languages, Government of Punjab. He was welcomed by the principal, Dr Dharam Singh Sandhu. He presented the annual report of the college highlighting the achievements of various departments. The principal and chief guest congratulated the students on their success. —TNS
