Shri Vishwakarma Maha Puja Utsav was observed at Vishwakarma Mandir Dehliz road here on Thursday. Congress legislator from Amargarh Surjit Singh Dhiman was the chief guest and former SAD legislator Iqbal Singh Jhoondan was the guest of honour. Veteran industrialist Gurdayal Singh Birdi hoisted the flag.

Adressing the gathering, speakers, including Dhiman, Jhoondan, Suraaj Mohammad, president municipal council, Ravinder Puri, former president Municipal Council, and Balwant Singh Lotey, president of the management committee, said modern society owes a lot to Lord Vishwakarma, who paved way for all mechanical and technical developments.

“Even if we have explored possibility of life beyond Earth, it is due to the fundamentals of science and technology given by Baba Vishwakarma, who was a great architect and led the humanity to the age of ultramodern gadgets, submarines and space aircrafts,” said Dhiman.
