There will be no respite from the crippling chill. Weathermen have predicted thundershowers at isolated places in the city and its adjoining areas in the next 24 hours.

The maximum temperature today was 6.4 degrees Celsius while the minimum was 17 degrees Celsius.

The sun kept playing hide-and-seek throughout the day, but icy winds turned out to be a blessing for kite flyers. Colourful kites added to the beauty of the overcast sky. Sam, a Class X student, said,”I enjoyed kite flying today. "Not only children, but youngsters too were seen making most of the weather. They were seen flying kites and dancing to the tune of rocking numbers.
