Ludhiana, November 4

A solar plant was inaugurated today at Government Primary School, Badundi, by District Education Officer (elementary) Rajinder Kaur.

She said it was the first school in Punjab where a solar plant had been installed.

This solar plant has been set up with the help of SEVE Trust, UK. Charankawal Singh Sekhon, chairman, SEVE Trust, said he had been born and brought up in Badundi village and had studied in the same school. “This is my gesture to thank my alma mater who taught me everything. I am grateful to give something back to my school,” he said. —TNS
