‘Youngest engineer’

Ludhiana: Aryaman Verma , a student of Sat Paul Mittal School, brought laurels to the school by being selected among the top-100 records at World Stage Union by India Book of Records. His record of being the ‘Youngest Engineer’ to make a Line Follower Robot will be featured in the World Record Union Book 2018 to be launched in November 2017. Aryaman Verma was felicitated by the chief editors of record books of six different countries at the mega event “Record Holders at World Stage” held on November 12 at Siri Fort Auditorium in New Delhi, according to school authorities. This achievement will also give Aryaman an opportunity to participate in the exchange of knowledge programme between the record holders of various nations. 

Recreational meet at KVM

A recreational meet was held at Kundan Vidya Mandir, City Campus. Namita Raj Singh, headmistress, gave a message of unity and teamwork in her speech. Students of pre-primary and Kindergarten presented a fabulous show. Various sports events also marked the event. The function was a huge success.

Colours day at GMT school 

The kindergarten department of GMT International Public School, New Vishal Nagar, Kakowal Road, celebrated colours day on the school premises. The event was designed to help young children to identify and differentiate various colours, talk about them and think about how colours enhance and influence their lives. Children came dressed in the colour allocated to their class and many brought toys, fruits, vegetables or plastic household items in respective colour.

Declamation contest

Komalpreet Aujla, a student of Green Grove School, performed distinctly in the Inter-School Declamation Contest held at AS Senior Secondary School, Khanna. Komal was declared the ‘best speaker’ of the contest. Team of Bibanpreet and Komalpreet Aujla of Green Grove bagged the runners-up trophy. Principal and management congratulated the student. 

Kabaddi tourney winners

On the concluding of Ludhiana Sahodaya School Complex Kabaddi Tournament, at Blossoms Convent School, the final matches between the various teams were played. In the U-14 boys’ category,  Blossoms Convent School secured first position, Saint Thomas School’s boys second and HVM School students the third rank. In U-14 girls’ category, HVM School won the first position, Tagore School second and Blossoms Convent School third. In U-17 boys, HVM School came first, Blossoms Convent School second and Shamrok School third.  Likewise in U-17 girls, Blossoms Convent School came first, Saint Thomas School second and HVM School third. Principal Amarjit Kaur Naaz congratulated the winners.
