Tell us about your role in the upcoming show Tara from Satara.
Tara is a happy-go-lucky girl, she is negligent and nobody hopes of anything from her, especially her father. To be honest this character is quite challenging for me because I have never played such a bubbly character in my entire life. Tara is a girl who speaks her heart and lives her life to the fullest.
What makes this show unique?
It has a completely different story to tell. The show is based on dance. Dance has been an eternal love for me. Also, the characterisation is beautiful with powerful script.
How much is Tara different from your previous characters?
In this show, I would be seen as my natural self without even a tint of makeup, whereas, the previous characters that I played like Ajabdeh in Maharana Pratap used to require heavy makeup and jewellery.
This show has dance at its core; what form of dance will we see
you doing?
My character is more into freestyle and Bollywood dancing.
Are there any similarities between Tara and Roshni?
Roshni also had no idea that she can dance but realised it after practising, Tara will also realise the same. The best part is both Tara and Roshni are foodies.
How was it working with senior actors like Upendra Limaye?
It is a very big thing for me. I admire him for his grounded nature. He is a National Award winner and yet so humble and helpful. He always helps the entire cast with their characters and is also like a father figure for me on the sets.
What has been your most memorable moment of life?
It was when I got the Lions Gold Award for Favourite Child Artist for the show Maharana Pratap.
