Rehman Khan inspired by Lever

Stand-up comedian Rehman Khan, who rose to fame with show Comedy Circus, is currently busy with Comedy Dangal. Rehman, who has been working on television for almost 12 years now, says actor Johnny Lever is his inspiration. In a statement, Rehman shared, “My inspiration is Johnny Lever. I also follow Moin Akhtar and Raju Srivastava. I learn from new people.” 

Rehman adds, “I did theatre for 14 years, so from there I learnt how to interact with the audience. I started stand-up comedy by cracking jokes.” Talking about male actors playing female characters, he says, “One can create comedy without wearing a sari. I don’t like to advocate this kind of comedy, but, yes, this is in demand.”
