Welcome the Fakir
Ten years after it was made, Farhan Akhtar- starrer The Fakir of Venice will finally see the light of the day. The film that also stars Annu Kapoor will hit cinemas on January 18. Reportedly, the film was shot way back in 2008 and was supposed to be Farhan’s debut film in Bollywood. However, due to some unavoidable situations, its release was stuck. Sharing news of film’s release, Farhan took to his Twitter handle on Friday and shared film’s trailer.
Going by the trailer, the film looks like a laugh riot. The story, which is based on human behaviour, revolves around a con act performed by two Indian men, who travel to Venice for some quick bucks. While Farhan plays the man, who has been hired to find a fakir who will bury himself in the sand for an installation project, Annu plays the intriguing slum dweller-turned-fakir.
