In their endeavour to offer aesthetic treat to the intrusive city art lovers with diverse musical, visual and theatrical performances the Department of cultural affairs Chandigarh is bringing the colossal historical spectacle Chankaya to be staged in Chandigarh.
Staged worldwide in over 1000 times at popular venues to a record audience the significance, intent and mission of the play is aimed to present an opportunity for self introspection by leaders, governance, social patriarchs and a common man.
Written by Mihir Bhuta the play is acted and directed by Manoj Joshi, the grand theatre and film artiste. The play brings into focus the genius of Chankaya as a visionary statesman, economic and social reformer, political strategist and guru of astounding merit to Chandragupta Maurya, portrayed to perfection by Manoj Joshi. The play has an all time relevance and deals with the socio cultural, economical and above all the dynamics of rajneeti, the favourite of one and all.
The tickets in the denomination Rs. 500 /-and Rs 300 / per person are available at the Tagore theatre from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm.
The play will be staged at Tagore theatre on Saturday, October 28 at 6.30 pm.
