Actor Imran Khan, who made his debut with the film, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na in 2008, is now all set to wear the director’s hat. The actor will be making his directorial debut in a short film. The film is in its initial stages of scripting and writing. Imran will be leaving for a family vacation and will finalise the cast of the film on returning.

According to a source, “The film is in its planning stage right now and Imran will be directing the short film, produced by a brand that is known to produce and encourage short films and web series formats. This will not necessarily be a web film but a complete stand alone film which will be shown in theatres.”

Imran was much appreciated for his films like I Hate Luv Storys, Delhi Belly and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. The actor, much like his uncle, Aamir Khan, will be venturing into direction, who directed Taare Zameen Par while acting in films.
