Deepika’s Chhapaak ready to roll

Deepika Padukone-starrer Chhapaak’s preparations are going on a full swing. In the film, Deepika will be playing the role of an acid attack victim named Laxmi Aggarwal. 

Now, director of the film Meghna Gulzar has already shared the first picture from the sets of the film which seems to be pretty intriguing. The story of the film happens to be very close to Deepika’s heart. 

Meghna shared a picture on her Instagram which has a yellow coloured dupatta with acid stains on it. The picture itself reveals a painful story about acid attack victims. 

In an earlier media interaction, Meghna had said that Deepika would be portraying a distinct kind of role 

in this film which is going to be very different from her roles in other films. Interestingly, Chhapaak happens to be Deepika’s first venture as a producer.
