What according to you has been working for the success of the show?

The entire crew has been working very hard since the beginning of the show. I feel it is our love for Sai Baba, which is also reflecting in the work that we do together as a team and that has indeed worked wonderfully for all of us. The response from our viewers has been fantastic and we are hopeful of their continued support.

How does it feel?

It is an honour to essay the role of one of the most revered saints. It is because of Sai Baba’s blessings that I was selected for this role and I am truly thankful to all the viewers for their unconditional love and support. It motivates me to give my best.

Can you elaborate your connection with Sai Baba and how his teachings have transformed your life?

I have pristine faith in the most important teachings of Sai Baba – Shraddha and Saburi – and I follow them with all my heart. It is a constant effort to follow the life lessons and teachings of Sai Baba at all times. I am hopeful that with his blessings we will all prosper.

We heard you had an interesting incident related to your look of Sai. Can you tell us more about it?

People have often told me that there is a great resemblance between Sai Baba and my look on the show. Moreover, I feel when we think and read about great personalities, in a way we also imbibe their mannerisms and the way they talk. It helps our imagination, which also is instrumental in enacting the part.

How has the working of the television industry changed?

Today, viewers have a choice. They can watch different shows. Decisions are taken so quickly in Tellywood.

What do you think works in this world of television– being honest or being right?

The industry does not like honesty; it likes being right and perfect.

One word that describes you?

The only word that comes to my mind is ‘optimist’. I am a very positive person and have always looked at the brighter aspects of things around me.
