Avinesh Rekhi’s new look

Star Plus’ Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji recently finished an outdoor shoot in Bangkok where the plot of the show took an interesting turn. Actor Avinesh Rekhi, who plays the character of Umashankar on the show, will be seen in a never-seen-before avatar on TV. He will don the look of a Sardar, who along with Kanak (Ria Sharma) is in Bangkok to expose Masisa (Sadiya Siddhiqui). 

Avinesh exclaimed, “I am really excited to get into my new look. I come from a Sikh family and I am honoured to represent my culture on screen. It has been quite some time since I wore a turban. I really had to work on my physique to get into that look as I have always been lean. Till now viewers had seen me in a desi look but now I think viewers are in for a treat with Uma’s disguised look.”
