Schools celebrate Guru Nanak Jayanti MHAC, Nagbani
The educational institutes in Jammu region celebrated the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev with enthusiasm. A special assembly was conducted at MHAC School, Nagbani to mark the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev. The students marked the Parkash Utsav with various activities. They also shared useful information relating to the life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev besides singing Shabads and holy hymns
Pushp Vatika
Pushp Vatika celebrated Guru purb on its premises. Shabad kirtan were recited by teachers and students besides participating in gatka. Some teachers threw light on the life of the life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev.
Jammu Sanskriti School
Guru Nanak Dev's birth anniversary was celebrated on the school presmises. A special assembly was organised, wherein the students came dressed in traditional Sikh attire. The assembly started by paying floral tribute to Guru Nanak Dev followed by information related to his life and teachings. Principal-cum-Vice chairperson, Rohini Aima, appreciated the efforts put in by the children and the teachers.

The 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev was celebrated on the premises of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra. The event was organised by the Sikh Sangat of the university and SMVD Narayana Hospital, Katra. The event started with a paath of Sukhmani Sahib followed by kirtan/gurbani vichar.
