Army Public School (APS), Dhar Road, on Tuesday conducted investiture ceremony. The young talents of the school were bestowed with responsibilities during the ceremony. The student council pledged to lead their school from the front with commitment, confidence and competence. The ceremony began with a welcome song by students followed by a welcome address by the junior coordinator of the school, Poonam Gupta. The prefects were conferred with their duties. Head boy (Lavanmay) and head girl (Amika Rustagi) marched towards the stage and received their appointment badges.

Workshop on curriculum reforms 

A two-day long workshop on "Curriculum Reforms" was organised by School of Biotechnology, University of Jammu (JU), under RUSA scheme (Phase II). The theme of the workshop was "Updating and restructuring course curriculum' for master degree programme in biotechnology, microbiology and biochemistry".  Prof Manoj K Dhar, Vice-Chancellor, JU, was also present. He briefed the resource persons on the curricula followed by the school and how it was upgraded almost every year after comparing it with syllabi of national and international repute. Prof Pawan Dhar laid stress on the adoption of outcome-based curricula.

Fancy dress competition

To promote and showcase the talents and creativity of tiny tots, Delhi Public School (DPS), Jammu, on Tuesday organised a fancy dress competition for the students of nursery class. The children actively participated in the competition and came dressed up as famous political personalities of the country. Principal, DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra congratulated the students and encouraged them to love and respect their country. Headmistress of the school, Meenu Gupta also appreciated the students.

Workshop on low-cost teaching aid

Ramisht College of Education on Tuesday organised a workshop on low-cost teaching aid. Students of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme of 3rd semester participated with enthusiasm. The students presented their views with the help of charts.
