Jammu students shine in Class XII results

Students from Jammu have performed well in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class XII examination, the result of which was declared on Thursday.

Rupashi Sharma of Army Public School (APS), Akhnoor, is the topper in her school. She secured 96 per cent marks in the humanities stream.

“After Class X, I opted for the humanities stream because I want to be a civil servant,” an elated Rupashi told The Tribune. “The hard work has finally paid off. From the beginning, my parents have fully supported my career choice,” she said.

In the science stream, Sampad S Pradhan of APS, Akhnoor, secured 94.8 per cent marks in the medical stream, while Chakshita Manhas secured 94 per cent marks in the non-medical stream. In the commerce stream, two students secured high marks — Manisha Kumari has got 94.6 per cent marks while Arnav Ticku has got 94.2 per cent.

A total of 160 students — 65 from science stream, 55 from science stream and 40 from the commerce stream — from APS, Akhnoor, had appeared in the examination.

From APS, Jammu Cantonment, Mehak Sharma emerged the topper in her school by securing 97.2 per cent in the humanities stream. The second topper is Bhavna Patel from the same stream with 96 per cent marks. Himanshu Khadotra secured 96 per cent marks in the medical stream.

JK Public School, Kunjwani, secured 100 per cent result in Class XII CBSE examination. Anouska Bhatnagar secured 96.4 per cent in humanities followed by Khushbu Khajuria with 96 per cent, Riya Chaudhary with 95.8 per cent, Sanskriti Singh with 95.4 per cent and Bhavini Sharma with 95 per cent.

Aahwaan Gupta secured 95.6 per cent marks in the commerce stream while Aman Goswami secured 95.2 per cent in the non-medical stream. A total of 143 students of the school had appeared in the examination.

The students of Birla Open Minds International School have also excelled in Class XII result. Agrim Babbar from the non-medical stream clinched the first position in the school by securing 92.8 per cent. Karan Gupta got the second position by scoring 92.4 per cent marks.
