4-day Kousar Nag yatra kicks off
Katra, July 6
The four-day-long historical Kousar Nag yatra was flagged off by Reasi Deputy Commissioner P Ramaswamy G from here early on Friday morning.
‘Chhari Mubarak’, the saffron-robed holy mace of Lord Shiva, was also taken along with the yatra.
A lot of enthusiasm and high spirit was visible on the faces of the pilgrims hailing not only from Reasi but also from Jammu, Katra, Talwara Mahore, Chassana and other far-off areas, who sang bhajans and had queued up in wee hours to take part in the yatra despite bad weather.
The Kousar Nag yatra has been organised successfully in the past due to which the Reasi-Chassana route gained popularity. So this year, people hailing from various parts of the state expressed willingness to join the pilgrimage.
