Inspector General (zonal) LK Yadav today inaugurated a police control room for 64 CCTV cameras installed in various rural and urban localities of the Phagwara sub-division. Jalandhar range DIG Rajinder Singh and Kapurthala SSP Rajinder Singh also accompanied IG Yadav. Talking to the media at the SP office here this evening, the IG said 36 more CCTVs would soon be installed to monitor the activities of criminals and anti-social elements.

These would also help supervising policemen on duty and help in maintenance of law and order in the region. The IG said the police would not leave any stone unturned to provide peaceful and fearless life to the people.
