CRPF soldiers celebrate Raising Day

The soldiers of 13 Bn CRPF paid tributes to the martyrs of CRPF on the CRPF Raising Day that was celebrated today at 13 Battalion (Bn), CRPF, Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab.

The unit of the battalion also organised a tree-plantation drive, cultural programme and sports competitions.

As many as 1,621- officers of the CRPF and junior rank soldiers were decorated with ‘Ati Utkrisht Seva Padak’ and 3,241 personnel with ‘Utkrisht Seva Padak’

INSP/GD Charajnit Singh of 13 Bn, CRPF, has been awarded ‘Ati Utkrisht Seva Padak’ and CT/GD Bhajan Singh and CT/GD Rajpal were awarded ‘Utkrisht Seva Padak’.

The CRPF personnel were also honoured with Ashok Chakra- 01; Kirti Chakra- 03; Vir Charka-01; Shaurya Chakra- 23; PPMG- 194; PMG- 1382 and many such honours for their bravery and gallant acts.

Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, DG, CRPF, congratulated the CRPF personnel.

The CRPF was raised on July27, 1939, as Crown Representative Police in Neemuch (Madhya Pradesh) and it is the largest paramilitary force of the country.
