NCC makes cadets better citizens: Brig Madan

National Cadet Corps’ (NCC) Jalandhar Group Commander Brig Advitiya Madan inspected 12 Punjab Battalion NCC today. He took account of the training being imparted to cadets and other related matters.

He also evaluated the social service and other activities to train the cadets, especially inculcating leadership qualities in them.

Lt Col RK Dhand, Admn Officer of the Battalion welcomed him. He presented a comprehensive report of various training programmes being organised by the battalion and the activities and achievements of the battalion.

He said: “At all schools and colleges, the NCC activities are running smoothly.” Col Dhand detailed the major events held during the past year and this year’s draft action plan was also presented.

Brig Madan expressed satisfaction at the activities of the battalion and assured that group headquarters would go along to promote the NCC activities and motivate the cadets to join the Army. He asked NCC officers and PI Staff to extend tips to the cadets to make the training interesting and effective.

While addressing the cadets Brig Madan said: “The camp aims to make cadets the disciplined and dedicated citizens of the country.”

“Special attention is being given to develop leadership qualities in cadets. Personality development programmes will be organised for the overall development of the cadets,” added Brig Madan

He gave tips to the cadets getting training in the firing range.

Various competitions were also held for the selection of cadets, wishing to participate in ‘Thal sena camp”.

Brig Madan appreciated officers of the battalion, training staff and cadets.
