JDA to auction 11 commercial, residential sites

The Jalandhar Development Authority (JDA) has set up a facilitation centre at the office of the Punjab Urban Development Authority (PUDA) to facilitate people to apply for prime sites at attractive prices in the city through e-auction.
Stating this, Additional Chief Administrator (ACA) JDA-cum-Estate Officer PUDA, Dr Jai Inder Singh, said the authority had called for e-auction of 11 residential and commercial sites in the district.
He said these sites included Gandhi Vanita Ashram, Canal Rest House, 120 feet road Basti Sheikh, Urban Estate Phase II, Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar, Crystal Plaza II and others. Dr Jai Inder Singh said the e-auction of these sites had started from January 13, 2018, and would continue till January 25, 2018.
The ACA said as a large number of people were evincing keen interest in these sites, so the authority had taken a significant decision to set up a help desk-cum-facilitation centre for the applicants.
He said any person desirous of availing the benefits of this centre for applying for e-auction could approach their office during the working hours. Dr Jai Inder Singh said the officers/ officials of the authority were duty-bound to facilitate the people for their work.
The ACA further said that the star attraction amongst these sites were the two on 120 feet road Basti Sheikh and Urban Estate Phase II meant for setting of CNG/ Fuel Pump. Likewise, he said that sites at Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar and Gandhi Vineeta Ashram were a source of attraction for residential purposes.
