In new uniform, RSS workers take out march

Commemorating their foundation day which coincided with Vijay Dashmi, the RSS workers and BJP leaders donning the new brown pants today took out four marches across the city.

It was for the first time that they were seen in the new attire and each participant carried the trademark bamboo rod along the route. While earlier, only one march was taken out along the shobha yatra route of the city, this time the march was taken out in each constituency of Jalandhar. While one in which Jalandhar Central MLA Manoranjan Kalia, former Mayor Rakesh Rathour and party spokesperson Rajat Mahendru participated started began from Company Bagh, took a round of Rainak Bazaar, Saidan Gate, Central Town and other areas before returning to the starting point. In the second march, Jalandhar North MLA KD Bhandari was a member. The march was carried out from Gauri Shankar Mandir and proceeded towards Kalia Colony and other areas.

Another march was taken out in the Jalandhar West area in which Mahinder Bhagat, son of minister Bhagat Chunni Lal, was a participant. The party workers went around Model House and Bhargo camp areas. Mayor Sunil Jyoti attended a similar march carried out in Jalandhar Cantonment area.
