Sania Sharma, 23, who recently hogged the limelight through her video album ‘selfie mutiyar’, is all set to step into Bollywood.
Untitled yet, the film is being produced by a Jammu-based man and will be directed by a Bollywood director, the cast for which is being finalised.
Sania ventured into the music world with her parents’ support. “I had made up my mind from a young age that I will become a singer and my parents supported me. I never compromised with studies and also never went for local auditions in Jammu, most of which do not materialise,” said Sania, a resident of Paloura.
She said her first break came from Voice of Punjab, a big music platform. “I am the first performer from the state who got double success as the event managers at Voice of Punjab offered me to act and sing in ‘selfie mutiyar’, which became an instant rage with the people of Punjab and J&K,” Sania said.
Sania is quite excited for her Bollywood venture but says her first love is singing.
“Joining Bollywood is a craze among youth but one should try his luck only when he knows his potential and capability. The Bollywood film offer is welcome, but my first love is singing,” she said.
Sania is presently doing two Punjabi songs which are scheduled to release after the elections.
