BSF''s 80 Battalion awarded General Choudhary Trophy

The Border Security Force’s 80th Battalion, deployed in the Samba sector on the International Border, has been awarded the much-coveted and prestigious General Choudhary Trophy for the best battalion for 2017-2018.
The trophy was presented to Commandant, 80th Battalion of the BSF, Happy Verma by Minister of State for Home Kiran Rijiju in the presence of Director General, BSF, Rajnikant Mishra and Inspector General, Jammu Frontier, Ram Awtar during the Raising Day parade in Delhi on Saturday.
A BSF spokesperson said the trophy was presented to the BSF Battalion for excelling in all departments. The spokesperson said the trophy remained the dream of every BSF battalion.
“Winning the prestigious award by the 80 Battalion of the BSF has become more important as Pakistan is leaving no stone unturned to harm BSF men but gallant personnel of the 80 Battalion have thwarted the evil design always. This rare feat could have only been achieved by the unprecedented efforts of all ranks and support of the families of the men of the 80 Battalion of the BSF,” the spokesperson said.
