Avinash Wadhwan is not a new face; he has already done more than 40 films in Hindi and some in regional languages. He is back on television after a gap and now is a part of Sooraj Barjatya’s contemporary romantic drama Piya Albela. He plays Harish Vyas, a rich businessman in this show. Last seen in Balika Vadhu and Junoon – Aisi Nafrat Toh Kaisa Ishq, Avinash talks about his latest outing

What is your role in Piya Albela?

I play Harish Vyas, a rich businessman; the role is really challenging with a lots of shades. I am really thankful to Sooraj Barjatya.

What is the show all about?

Piyaa Albela is a romantic drama with characters that are contemporary.

How is it working with Akshay Mhatre and Sheen Dass?

We have a good rapport off screen and I think that is very important as it shows on screen. It is a jolly good ride on the sets and hope it remains the same.

How is Avinash in real life?

Avinash on and off acreen are poles apart. I live a simple life.

What else is in the pipeline?

I am also working in Bengali film, Vastav, with Rituparna Sengupta.
