The Chamba-Bharmour road has been washed away in certain parts by the Ravi river, which has been in a spate due to the unprecedented rain in the region since the last 48 hours.

The road is the only connecting link to Bharmour and the Holi tribal valleys of Chamba district.

Damage to the main road has also disrupted the heavy vehicular traffic to the Bharmour region.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
