The talks of former Chief Minister PK Dhumal being given big responsibility is only on social media and there is no such discussion going on in the party.

This was stated by BJP state general secretary Ram Singh during an interaction with mediapersons here.

“Dhumal is one of the tallest leaders in the state but there are no discussions on his elevation and the rumours are doing rounds only on the social media,” he said.

When asked about the appointments of chairmen and vice-chairmen in the boards and corporations, he said the decision on appointments would be taken by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and there was no interference of the party. The appointments would be made wherever necessary, he added.

Claiming that more than 22 crore people in the country, especially rural population, youth, women, poor and farmers, had been benefited by the schemes launched by the Modi government, he said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had lived in poverty and thus understands the problems and needs of the poor.
