The Manali-Leh Highway has been blocked due to a massive landslide near Marhi between Gulaba and Rohtang Pass on Wednesday morning.

The Border Roads Organisation has pressed its workforce and machinery to clear the road as big boulders had rolled down the road.

The traffic had come to a standstill in the area and travelers have now been stuck for hours. It would take time to restore the road for all-round traffic movement, authorities have said. The road has been restored for the movement of light vehicles. However, it would take time to restore it for heavy vehicles.

Heavy rains since the past few days have led to the landslide.
