Rainbow school wins talent hunt competition

Rainbow International School, Nagrota Bagwan, won overall trophy (Tejas) at ‘Explorica – 2017’ organised by the Dronacharya Post Graduate College of Education, Rait, in association with the Rotary Club, Shahpur. The theme of this year’s Explorica was ‘Your talent is your obligation to the world’.

Vinayak Public School, Dadhamb, and Government Senior Secondary School, Kotla, were first and second runners-up, respectively. The event provides a platform to the government and private school students of Classes X and XI to exhibit creativity, ingenuity and talent. A total of 140 students from 19 schools participated in different events. The event was inaugurated by Dr KR Sharma of CUHP. He motivated the students to be tech-friendly and develop communication skills for personality development.

Abhinandan of Government Senior Secondary School, Kotla, secured first position in declamation contest. Surya Pratap of The New Era School of Sciences, Chhatri, stood second, Manisha of Government Senior Secondary School, Durgella, and Ankita of Lawrence Public School bagged third position.

In painting competition, Parul of Rainbow International School, Nagrota Bagwan, won the first prize, Navneet of APSS School, Rait, stood second and Savita of Government Senior Secondary School, Kotla, secured third position. In quiz contest, Sakshi and Rishita of Rainbow International School, Nagrota Bagwan, won the first prize, Rizual Rana and Jaswant Singh of Ajit Memorial stood second and Aryan Samyal of Lawrence Public School, Shahpur, bagged the third position.
