Nurpur, November 7
A prayer meet was held at late ex-minister Vikram Singh Katoch’s residence in Indora today. Former Lok Sabha MP Rajan Sushant, ex-MLA Kewal Singh Pathania and Congress and BJP leaders were in attendance.
The ceremony commenced with a “Shanti Path”. Family members, friends and people from Indora paid tributes to the departed soul.
Sushant said Katoch worked selflessly for the welfare of the people. Rashpal Guleria recited a poem remembering the great leader.
Former minister and senior Congress leader from the Indora Assembly constituency of Kangra district, Katoch passed away on October 26.
Former Governor of Jammu and Kashmir NN Vohra said he had lost one of his old friends. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur expressed his condolences on the phone.
