HAMIRPUR: A recently conducted survey revealed that over 78 per cent women used sanitary napkins in the district.  CM Jai Ram Thakur released the report prepared by DC Dr Richa Verma on Friday. He said women health was the government’s priority and the survey would help it formulate schemes. Dr Sadhna Thakur, chairperson, Red Cross Society of the state, said women in rural areas needed to be told about menstrual hygiene. The report was encouraging and would help educate women in other districts as well. The DC said the survey was done on 6,000 women in two groups (below 18 years and above 18 years). OC
