Bus torched at Hisar bus stand

Hisar, January 25

A Haryana roadways bus was set on fire by unknown persons at the bus stand in Hisar last night. The bus was parked near the entrance while the driver and the conductor were asleep in the staff rest house.

Satyaprakash, driver of the bus, said the seats of the bus were completely gutted in the fire. “I had locked the doors and the windows. Someone must have smashed the windowpanes to enter in the bus as it had been set on fire from inside,” he saidTwo fire tenders were rushed in to douse the flames.

Surender Singh, GM, Haryana Roadways, said the reason behind the incident was still unknown. The police have started investigation into the matter. — TNS
