Kurukshetra, December 19

The Kurukshetra Development Board (KDB) on Wednesday said an estimated 40 lakh people had visited the International Gita Mahotsav between December 7 and 18.

The KDB has installed electronic counters at different entry points on the Brahma Sarovar premises.

Cultural activities of the annual festivities concluded on Tuesday night.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had presided over the concluding function of the main phase of the mahotsav. Khattar said the Centre and the state government had jointly chalked out a programme to make Kurukshetra a destination to attract international tourists. KDB officials said the Crafts and Saras Mela would continue till December 23. — TNS
