Shikha Kaur Randhawa (in pic) has cracked the UPSC exam securing 439th position in her second attempt. She could not clear the interview in 2015.
Hailing from Amritsar, she did her BDS course from Panjab University in 2013 and completed the law course this year. While she was preparing for the UPSC exam, she was engaged to Jashandeep Singh Randhawa, who helped and motivated her. After the mains, they tied the knot last year.
“My husband had cracked the UPSC exam in 2012 with geography as his subject. I have cracked the exam with geography as my subject due to his help and motivation,” she said. She expected to get into the IRS. “I will serve society with utmost dedication with nationbuilding as my aim,” she told The Tribune.
Her husband is Superintendent of Police in Karnal. “It is a great day for me as well as the family as she has cleared the exam,” he said.
