Rohtak, April 29
Arvind Sharma, BJP candidate for the Rohtak Lok Sabha seat, has said the dynastic rule has ruined the country, citing the examples of the INLD, Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) and Congress to prove his point.
“Haryana is infamous for dynastic politics. Take the case of the Congress. It has fielded father and son in the Lok Sabha elections. Do you need any more proof?” he said at one of the public meetings in the Kalanaur Assembly segment on Friday.
He was referring to Bhupinder Singh Hooda, fielded from Sonepat, and his son Deepender, seeking re-election from Rohtak.
The BJP nominee termed its two successive tenures in the state “corrupt”. “The Congress promoted nepotism. During its rule, government jobs were given on the basis of political approach and bribe,” he alleged. “The BJP government”, Sharma claimed, “had brought transparency in government appointments. Now, youths get jobs on the basis of merit”. He sought votes in the name of nationalism, national security and corruption-free governance.
