Several youths today joined Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in presence of former minister Thakur Randhir Singh, who is state president of NCP.

Speaking on the occasion, Thakur Randhir Singh asked the youth to work for strengthening the party in the state. He said Jammu and Kashmir had faced a difficult time and it was the duty of the government to create employment opportunities for the youth who had suffered due to insurgency and corruption.

Meanwhile, Vikram Mahajan has been appointed state secretary of the NCP. Mahajan said the NCP was following the nationalist agenda in the state and hundreds of people had joined the party during recent years.
