Yamunanagar, July 21

The police have registered a case against the owners of a rice mill and others for not supplying rice worth Rs 3.27 crore to Haryana State Co-Operative Supply and Marketing Federation Limited (HAFED).

On the complaint of Vikas Sangwan, district manager, HAFED, the Radaur police booked owners of Bajrang Rice Mill—- Radaur Sushil Kumar and his wife Nisha Rani, Luxmi Trading Company, Sangwan Trading Company and Tajender Singh under Sections 406 (breach of trust), 420 (cheating) and 120 B (conspiracy) on Monday.

The complainant alleged that Bajrang Rice Mill had received 45,874 quintal paddy from HAFED for milling in 2014-15 and it had to return 30,735 quintal rice to HAFED after milling. However, they supplied only 22,367 quintal rice and failed to supply 8,368 quintal rice worth Rs 3.27 crore. — OC
