World Heritage Day celebrated at Orient school
World Heritage Day was celebrated in Orient International School by students. The aim of the school was to make people aware about the importance of the cultural heritages and its preservation. Various programmes related to the historical structures of India were organised by the school. A special speech on the topic was delivered in the assembly. A quiz competition and cultural heritage programme were also conducted for the school children over the historical heritage.
Sports achievers honoured at BVM
Students of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir , Chandigarh Road, participated in different sports during the session 2016-17. In all, 16 of them have shown good performance in judo, table tennis, chess and throw ball at the district level. Rajni Arora honoured the students by awarding them with certificates and admired untiring efforts of coach Sanjeev and Geeta for exploring the latent potential of the players.
Orientation programme organised
A parent's orientation programme was conducted in Darshan Academy. All parents participated actively in the programme. The programme started with a lamp lighting ceremony and prayers by pre-primary teacher. The aim of the programme was to create awareness among kindergarten parents about the important features of the school. The principal addressed the parents and stated such programmes are crucial for the overall development of a child and sought for the full cooperation of the parents. She also guided the parents to be a role model for their children.
Welcome party for tiny tots at MGM school
MGM Public School, Dugri, organised a welcome party for tiny tots of kindergarten to mark the beginning of the new session. The little learners came dressed in colourful attires. Various activities and games were also organised . The children took part in dance party. Freshers were awarded with different titles. — TNS
