Working birthday for Hirani

Ace director Rajkumar Hirani celebrated his birthday last week, and he carried forward the trend of working on his birthday. However, this isn’t the only year that he has chosen work over celebration – he did it last year too, by devoting his attention to the blockbuster film PK.

Hirani, who recently wrapped up shooting for Sala Khadoos, is gearing up for the film’s release in addition to prepping for his next, a biopic on Sanjay Dutt.

Sala Khadoos is set for a release in January next year, and the director opted against taking a break to conduct meetings. He also dedicated part of his day to working on the script for Sanjay Dutt’s biopic, as writing is the filmmaker’s most treasured passion.
