Welcome party
A welcome party was organised for the children of pre-nursery, nursery and KG classes at the Satluj Public School, Sector 2, Panchkula, recently. The theme of the party was minions. All children came dressed in colourful yellow and blue summer dresses. “The aim of the party was familiarise children with the school and teachers,” shared Gur Serai, the principal.
St Soldier’s ‘Technothon 2017’
St Soldier’s annual feature ‘Technothon 2017’, a two-day event, started on Friday with a theme ‘International Year of Sustainable Tourism’. Royalneet Singh of the host school won the colour splash competition while Gurmeher Joneja and Rohit of AKSIPS- 65 won the web designing competition. — TNS
Orientation programme
Patiala: To interact with parents, an orientation programme was organised on the DAV School Patiala premises. During the programme, as many as 200 parents attended the useful interactive venture so as the co-ordination between the school and parents reach a new height. The programme commenced with the lighting of a lamp of knowledge by Principal SR Prabhakar. The Principal also paid floral tributes to Rabindra Nath Tagore, Indian Noble laureate, followed by a Bengali dance performance by students, so as to pay homage to this great writer.
Mother's Day celebrated
Mother's Day was celebrated at Apollo Public School with much fervour and joy. Children put up a great show expressing love for their mothers. They presented poems, speech, dance and songs on the importance of mother's contribution in the child's life. Junior wing made beautiful cards for their mothers. Students and staff members presented a token of love to Vice-chairperson Jatinder Kaur and Principal Roma Anand. TNS
