The objectives of the NMCN were to develop medical education. Also, lecture theatres in the college will be made digital, he stated.

Choudhary said as a result, the Tanda Medical College would have a privilege in tele-consultation, tele-follow up, tele-medical health and remote monitoring.

Through this programme, the college will have facilities of tele-pathology, tele-cardiology, tele-radiology, tele-dermatology, tele-ophthalmology and tele-oncology. Under this programme, e-learning and digital library would be developed in the days to come, he claimed.

The tele-ECG project was operational in the whole Kangra district, providing 24-hour tele-ECG support to patients. Another project, approved by the ICMR involving tele-ophthalmology, was scheduled for start in the tribal area headquarters Keylong in the coming months, he claimed.
