Baddi unit ranked among top 100

Baddi-based Elin Appliances Private Limited, a home appliances manufacturing Small and Medium Sector (SME) unit, was ranked among top 100 SME units in the country by India SME 100. The unit was among the few units in the Northern states to be ranked in this sector in the top slot.

The unit was evaluated on the basis of its financial and other technical parameters from among 49,023 units who had applied for this ranking from across the country.

The unit management will receive this award from the union Micro Small and Medium Sector Enterprises minister Kalraj Mishra on April 28th at Delhi, informed the plant head JS Kang.

Various parameters like innovations undertaken to improve productivity, initiatives taken to enhance competency and knowledge base of its employees, increase productivity, steps taken to improve the working environment, employee retention and corporate governance were among the key parameters on which the company’s claim was verified.

Quality and customer service, certificates and awards received in quality and other significant aspects, steps undertaken to foster business excellence, environmental policy and environmental initiatives were also taken into consideration.

The unit has received several prestigious awards in safety, human resource, quality and corporate social responsibility from reputed organizations in the past.
