Wynberg Allen, SJA reach basketball finals

Wynberg Allen School and St Joseph’s Academy (SJA) entered the final of the 11th Gardner Silver Jubilee Inter-School Basketball Tournament defeating their opponents in the semifinal matches played at St Thomas College here today.

In the first semifinal, Wynberg Allen School defeated the Convent of Jesus and Mary (CJM) School team 53-32. Shruti scored 12 baskets for Wynberg Allen School, whereas Ridha scored 17 baskets for the CJM team.

In another match, St Joseph’s Academy beat Grace Academy 27-18, with the help of 17 baskets scored by Shristi.

Vinod Vachani, Sunil Kumar, Abhishek, Ajay and Sagar were referees in the matches.
