Salads have a tremendous variety in today’s cuisine and we can keep on adding ingredients. The rest of the magic is woven by different dressings, which can make the salad even more delicious.

Gnocchi Chaat

Ingredients

  • Potatoes 500gm
  • Potato starch 100gm
  • Onion 1
  • Tomato 1
  • Green chilli 2
  • Papdi 100 gm
  • Crushed pepper 5gm
  • Chaat masala 5gm
  • Red chilli powder 5gm
  • Curd 50gm
  • Sounth chutney 10ml
  • Salt to taste

For garnish

  • Mint sprig
  • Ginger juliennes
  • Pomegranate seeds
  • Coriander
  • Sev (Namkeen)

Method

For Gnocchi preparation:

  • Wash and cut the potatoes into half and boil them.
  • Mash the potato; add salt, crushed pepper, potato starch and mix.
  • Shape out gnocchi with the help of fork and blanch them.
  • Put them in hot water and let it cool.

For chaat preparation

  • Arrange a bed of papdi over a plate.
  • Mix gnocchi, chopped onion, tomato, green chilli, coriander leaves in a bowl.
  • Add salt, red chilli powder, chaat masala and mix them softly.
  • Pour some mint chutney, sounth chutney and curd (optional).
  • Garnish with pomegranate seeds, coriander, ginger juliennes, sev and mint sprig.
