Change within: Shama Sikander

Biggest hazard on earth today is the mentality of the people. The day they change that and see beauty within, they will automatically look for beauty outside and if they won’t find it then they’ll work for it. The change begins from within, so first of all work towards that change from within and a lot of problems that we are facing on Mother Earth today will just vanish automatically.

Charity begins at home: Pitobash Tripathy

Nature insensitive humans, they are the source of all earthly problems. It’s crucial for humans to understand that they need to co-exist with nature and not extinguish nature through their activities. They say charity begins at home. So, to start I nurture small plants in my house and turn off the ‘main switch’ of electrical appliances when not in use. I also make sure to always carry a separate carry bag in my car to dump off all my garbage in that bag instead of littering the roads.

Solar power: Richa Chadha

We live in a country of ample sunshine and rain, so I wish we would take to solar power generation and rain water harvesting in a more serious manner.

Shun plastic: Adah Sharma

We humans are choking up the water bodies with all the plastic we use. My bit is in minimizing use of plastic myself and gifting cloth bags to my friends so they don’t use plastic bags.

Plant more: Sana Khan

Pollution and deforestation—that’s few of the main hazards to Mother Earth at present. Well, not just one person but we all have to collectively make an effort to keep it safe. From my end I see to it that we plant more trees. So, there we have planted 10 saplings and I try telling all my friends and family kids to plant. Even to my society people, I request the same.

Think tomorrow: Raima Sen

I would suggest each parent of my country to plant a sapling for every child they have. We will all be doing our bit and also by the time our kids grow up, these saplings will have grown into a tree. Look after your today for your own and your generations’ tomorrow. Help saving water and walk when I can and not use car. Save electricity as much as possible. The biggest hazard to earth at present is our own indifference and irresponsibility. We all want a better earth but are looking at others to make it a better place. Let’s each of us do our bit.

Eventually all things fall into place. Until then, laugh at the confusion, live for the moments, & know everything happens for a reason.
