The Punjab and Haryana High Court has issued a notice of motion to the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) and other respondents on a petition filed by a nursing student, alleging that another student was declared pass in a reappear examination despite failing to appear in the same.
In her petition, filed through counsel GS Gopera, Chandandeep Kaur told the Bench of Justice GS Sandhawalia that she and Swaranjit Kaur were admitted to the three-year diploma course in general nursing midwifery by one of the respondents, the National School of Nursing,
The counsel said the two were awarded reappear in the second-year examination result declared in December 2014. The supplementary examination was held from September 22 to 24, 2015. The petitioner appeared in the examination, but Swaranjit did not do so as she was abroad, the counsel added.
