Their bodies had been retrieved from the snow-laden area by rescue teams yesterday. They died because of freezing temperature.

The bodies were found on the way near Shikari Devi temple but could not be lifted because of tough terrain. Rescue teams comprising the police, mountaineering volunteers and locals brought the bodies to Janjehli on foot this morning.

DSP Hitesh Lakhan Pal stated that the bodies had been brought to Sundernagar and tomorrow post-mortem would be conducted.
